So lately Amelia has been asking some poignant questions, such as: "Where did Weezy's Birthday go?" and "What is the waters' name"? So when she was a wee bit smaller I would answer questions I couldn't quite understand with mostly "snooby goobly doobly land" or something very similar to that. But now I understand what she is saying, I just can't seem to find a fitting answer to some questions and snooby goobly doobly land seems like cheating....
Kind of funny, these little sweet growing brain questions.....

Winter 09-spring-ish 09
Freezing cold walk, we went anyway cause I felt guilty because Amelia hadn't been anywhere except car, house, store...I thought she needed some fresh air. We slid a few times, a little swing, a little climbing, all done very swiftly...then we promptly walked home and probably took a hot bath.
I made Brian take this cause it NEVER happens anymore, I was feeling a little nostalgic for baby Amelia...
Here we are at Mickey and Friends...We got tickets late so we got such nose bleed seats we were sitting next to the spotlight operator...seriously. Crazy $7 cotton candy, $12 slushy that I did not buy...I mean is that legal at that rate why not just really go for it and sell the slushy for 30 bucks, dang..... It was fun though and Amelia got the gist.
It's Spring-ish Time
Yay, Yay, 10 million Yays! Wintertime is over...mostly. So it's been a while and I have no reason why, except maybe that I've been in a frozen wasteland for the last few months. And though I see no relationship between blogging about my child's milestones and being in a frozen wasteland...it makes sense to me....sort of. I feel like I'm coming out of hibernation... I wore a skirt and flip flops the other day and Amelia a sun dress, ahh so nice. So anyway what I'm trying to say is...if you were planning to move to Idaho, or any family, friends, even people you really hate were planning on moving to Idaho, insist...DEMAND they don't make the move. There is a reason why only serious geography buffs know were this place is.
ok enough self pity, I could have it worse and I know it. And really I'm just kidding...kinda.
So on to little Miss Amelia...She's still the most crazy awesome thing ever, most days anyway... She's in a stage where she is almost ALWAYS a character, lets see...shrek baby, daphne (when she's getting her hair done), fred (when she is pretending to drive something), kanga, piglet...I could go on. The dog is donkey (from shrek) or scooby, or marley recently. Brian is Shrek or Shaggy, or any number of Pooh characters. Me, Fiona (Yona) or Velma(Belma) or any number of Pooh characters. So it was starting to concern me, like she was delving into character to escape something in her real life or whatever. And everyone assures me she just has an active imagination. Which I love, because I remember as a child completely being so confused by make believe... you know, why would you pretend a doll talked, or pretend to eat fake food, I just didn't get it. So I think she's "normal", so far...crossing fingers.
She's potty trained, yay. No more diapers...no more nasty, disgusting delicacies for the dog to enjoy. I mean those things were like doggie crack or something, you could tell when the dog was plotting, eyeing you to see if you were eyeing her to get her lips on them...amazing...amazingly nasty. No more guilt that I'm ruining the environment and being lazy by not using cloth and being a hypocrite by being a recycling Nazi, yet still filling the landfill with unnecessary waste...even if Weezy did eat her fair share... Yes, glad that's over.
Amelia goes to sleep in her own bed, with not too much whimpering. She later sneaks into our bed...I really don't mind. I love waking up with her and she's not going to be this special little snugly bundle of cuteness forever, at least I'm sure she won't want to sleep with her parents forever...even if she is still a snugly bundle of cuteness.
***Cute story alert***
We take Weezy out to a place called Higgins Point to get exercise. A month or so ago Amelia asked me what happened to the trees. So I told her they were sleeping because it's wintertime and in the summer they wake up. The next time we were out there she was walking behind me saying "wait up, wait up", not really a phrase she normally uses. Then she said "It's summer time"...so what she really saying was "wake up, wake up, it's summertime" so cute!
She has the most amazing memory, another thing I lack, that makes me happy she has. Each store we go to she knows what to ask for (it's amazing and kinda annoying so many places give crap away if you ask for it...or not) grocery stores -stickers, post office and bank -suckers, there is even a specific store we go to that she asks for tape, just a little strip of tape...every time we go there. She's so engaging people will just give her stuff, mostly old people volunteers at the thrift stores, and I usually stash it back in the store cause it's some crusty old stuffed animal. We got a kid's cocoa from dutch bros., now every time we go by it she says kid drink. Coffee places she knows we get muffins and at this certain coffee shop she knows they give away dog treats. So this could be the most normal thing ever and every kid in all the land does this same thing, but she's all I know...
Favorite cartoon right now is word world...
So I can't think of anything else. I sure hope everybody is doing great and having great, yummy, warm, flip-flop wearin' weather....
